Controversial American-supported GHF Aid Organization Concludes Humanitarian Work

The controversial, American and Israeli-supported Gaza relief foundation says it is winding down its relief activities in the Gaza region, following nearly half a year.

The foundation had already suspended its several relief locations in Gaza following the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into force six weeks ago.

The organization attempted to bypass the UN as the primary provider of humanitarian assistance to Gazans.

United Nations organizations and other humanitarian groups refused to co-operate with its approach, saying it was questionable and hazardous.

Hundreds of Palestinians were killed while trying to acquire nourishment amid chaotic scenes near the foundation's locations, mainly through Israeli military action, according to the UN.

The Israeli military claimed its troops fired alerting fire.

Program Termination

The GHF said on the beginning of the week that it was winding down operations now because of the "effective conclusion of its crisis response", with a total of three million packages containing the amounting to in excess of 187 million sustenance units delivered to Palestinians.

A further 514 persons were lost their lives close to the courses followed by international humanitarian deliveries, it further stated.

Most of them were fatally wounded by the Israeli military, based on the agency's reports.

Divergent Narratives

Israeli defense forces claimed its soldiers had released alerting fire at individuals who came near them in a "threatening" fashion.

The organization declared there were no shooting events at the aid sites and alleged that United Nations of using "inaccurate and deceptive" statistics from Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry.

Ongoing Situation

The organization's continuation had been uncertain since Hamas and Israel agreed a truce agreement to execute the primary segment of Trump's peace plan.

It said humanitarian assistance would take place "absent meddling from the both sides through the UN organizations and their partners, and the humanitarian medical organization, in combination with other international institutions not connected in any way" with Hamas and Israel.

International organization official Stephane Dujarric stated recently that the GHF's shutdown would have "no influence" on its operations "because we never worked with them".

The spokesperson additionally stated that while additional assistance was reaching the Palestinian territory since the halt in hostilities began on 10 October, it was "insufficient to meet all the needs" of the 2.1 million residents.
