Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident is not the first time that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
