Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great success on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the sole team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
