Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.
A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
